1. General Description

The EXPRO 500 kg platform weighing scale is designed for industrial, commercial, and warehouse use, providing reliable and accurate weight measurement of heavy items up to 500 kg. The robust steel construction, stable design, and heavy-duty load cells ensure long service life and dependable operation even under tough conditions. The product is fully backed by a 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects (excluding misuse or overloading beyond design limits).

3. Mechanical / Structural Details

Frame / Understructure

The base frame is fabricated using mild steel channel / angle / hollow sections, welded and stress-relieved to avoid warping.

The frame is designed to distribute load evenly to the load cells, ensuring that the platform moves minimally under full load.

The frame may include cross-bracing to improve rigidity and reduce deflection under heavy weight.

Top Platform / Plate

The top plate is a chequered mild steel plate (typically 5 mm to 8 mm thickness) to provide grip and resist wear.

Edges are rounded or chamfered to avoid sharp edges.

The top plate is securely attached to the flexible top structure, allowing full transfer of load to the load cells.

Load Cell Mounting

Four precision strain gauge load cells, each rated for at least 150 % overload, are mounted under each corner.

Load cells are mounted on rigid posts or pads, with appropriate anti-rotation features and flexures to allow vertical deflection only.

Cable/s wiring from load cells is shielded, harnessed, and protected from mechanical damage.

Finish / Surface Treatment

All exposed steel surfaces are cleaned, primed, and powder coated or painted with anti-rust paint to protect against corrosion.
